The Farmette
A place for hope, healing and happiness for donkeys and horses who were unwanted, mistreated or slaughter-bound.
Over 4 million donkeys are slaughtered each year worldwide and, as a result, their population is rapidly shrinking in many countries. In the United States alone, over 160,000 horses are annually shipped for slaughter. Most of these beautiful animals are healthy, friendly and even well-trained. The process of shipping and slaughtering them is far from humane. All with unique stories, the donkeys and horses living at The Farmette escaped being a part of these horrific statistics. We are both a rescue, offering the adoption of animals to approved homes, as well as a sanctuary, providing a forever home for various animals.
Proverbs 12:10 “The righteous care for the needs of their animals…”
The Farmette is a registered 501(c)3 donkey and horse rescue and sanctuary located in Pipersville, Pennsylvania. Tax ID 82-4003833.
